Venom Therapy

Venom therapy, also called apitherapy, is the use of bee venom and other bee products to heal health problems. While further testing for many of the treatments is necessary there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to support the use of bee venom in the field of medicine. Bee venom, along with royal jelly, honey, pollen, and propolis, can be used to treat inflammatory diseases like arthritis and multiple sclerosis. As a treatment, bees can be made to sting the patient directly, or a venom extract is injected. Apitherapy has been used as a home remedy for thousands of years and was written about by the Chinese and Hippocrates, 2,000 years ago.
