Orb spider
Orb spider webs have been used for centuries as folk remedies for cuts and other wounds. The spider web is believed to help hold the wound closed and promote healing, especially when mixed with soot. Modern medicine is beginning to catch on. Spiders can spin 7 different types of silk, strong and super stretchy, or strong and inelastic, or stretchy and sticky. Man-made silk fibers are stronger than steel and have been used as artificial tendons, and there is hope that they will be available as microscopic sutures utilized in eye surgery or to repair nerves.
