The Wolf spider is not an insect. It is an arachnid for many reasons, the obvious being that they have eight legs insead of six. An interseting fact about the Wolf spider is that it does not make a web it just feeds off of the ground. There is a common myth that a person sallows four or more spiders a year while they are sleeping. This would involve highly unlikely circumstances. There are also no records to help prove this theory. So no need to worry that when you sleep a spider will crawl into your mouth, and you will eat it.
