F is for Forensic Entomology. Colorado's Rocky Mountains known for their beauty, but they also offer criminals are a great burial ground. Over the years many bodies have been burried in the slope or mountain side. Forensic Entomology has helped solve some of these crimes. Forensic Entomology is the use of insects and our knowledge of their life cycles to assist in investigations into crimes. The most important job of a Forensic Entolologist is to accurately determine the time between when a person dies and when their body is found. |
