| Darner is another name for the insect commonly known as the
dragonfly. One of the most common and widely known darners is the Green
Darner. These insects primarily stay near streams, ponds and lakes. The
male darner is known to be very aggressive and confrontational, while the
females are much less aggressive. Females of this species lay their eggs
in plants submerged underwater. An interesting observation of the Green
Darner is bull's eye type marking on the front of it's face. Source: www.gloriamundipress.com |
