A
Sow Bug

These guys are chopped up and fried as part of various dishes. They are rarely eaten by themselves.

Sowbugs are small crustaceans with oval bodies when viewed from above.

Sowbugs have gills, so they tend to live in moister northwest habitats. They are nocturnal, and eat decaying leaf litter and vegetable matter. They feed on the tips of young plants, and they also help the environment by breaking up decaying plant matter and speeding up the recycling of the nutrients they contain.
