Z is for... Zimmerman Pine Moth

Damag to this tree is the result of Zimmerman pine moth larvae feeding on it
The Zimmerman pine moth is a dark-grey moth and a member of the family Pyralidae. The pine moth larvae feed on the bark, twigs, and cones of pine trees. This can cause great damage to the tree. So next time you get a Christmas tree make sure the moths don't come with it!
