Ants are social insects. They live together in a colony. Each ant is a specialist with one or another aspect of life in the colony. For example, one ant may specialize in getting food while another is the specialist for defending the colony. The whole colony is dependent on the efforts of each individual ant in order to ensure the survival of the entire colony. |
