Kaltrina Luzha '11 completed an internship with the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development in Kosovo (CEED-Kosovo), from June 15th to July 30th, 2010.  CEED is an entrepreneurship network program operating in Kosovo, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and Poland. CEED Kosovo is funded by USAID through a cooperative agreement and the expected outcome is to stimulate development of the private sector.

Kaltrina's duties at CEED-Kosovo were to complete CEED’s Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, to complete a Summary for Top Class Program, attend two monthly Network Learning Events, and assist CEED staff in organizing their Mentorship Program. Learning Events of CEED Program included Trainings for Top Class Program, Workshops, and Networking.

Kaltrina credits her coursework at Cornell for her success at CEED.  "I believe the courses I have taken at Cornell College have helped me be prepared to enter a working environment. I have used some of the core principles learned in the Managerial Economics course to evaluate and write the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan. Also, the courses of Macroeconomics helped me better understand how macroeconomic stability plays a crucial role for businesses to reach their full potential."
