In the fall of 2009, Katie Gieszler interned at Security Coverage in Cedar Rapids, IA, where she had a large accounting project to complete. Gieszler says, "Cornell has prepared me for this internship in a number of ways. The curriculum offered by numerous Economics and Business classes such as Accounting and Money and Banking have given me the educational foundation needed to be successful during this experience."

"Additionally, Cornell has provided me with the opportunity to become involved in Financial Group. This has allowed me to receive real-life experience investing money and practice understanding accounting statements while analyzing stocks. In combination, the curriculum and outside of the classroom opportunities provided by Cornell have helped me to be successful during the past few weeks at Security Coverage."
