Jeff Curran '08

Senator Tom Harkin's Office, Cedar Rapids, IA

Jeff Curran '08 worked in the office of Senator Tom Harkin during February of 2008.  Curran fielded calls from constituents, conducted casework, and learned the avenues through which information travels through the legislative branch of our government. 

Says Curran, "This internship helped expose me to some issues within both the legal and business worlds.  I am considering both law and business school and was able to research current legislation affecting both areas of interest for me.  I also gained a look at a possible career choice for students with a degree in politics.  The representative process is extremely important in the political process and I got to experience it first-hand."
