KZIA and ESPN Radio, Cedar Rapids, IA

(Summer 2007)

As an intern for KZIA at Z102.9 and ESPN 1600 radio stations, Jamie assisted the Z and 1600 radio personalities when they are out of the studio hosting an event planned by one of  the stations or doing a remote broadcast. She was responsible for promoting the station directly and gaining listeners as well as promoting the companies that hired Z and 1600. Jamie was constantly on the radio doing live commercial breaks as well on the streets meeting the listeners of the station.

"This internship was a very important part of my time here at Cornell. I always knew I was interested in business and economics especially how these areas applied to the music industry and this internship developed an even further interest. It not only allowed me to gain valuable real world experience but also helped me solidify my career plans."
