Hey readers,

I said that I would write another blog this week so here it is.  My internship is coming to a close.  Only 5 days left, and I am a little bummed.  I have really enjoyed my time here at Amazing Edibles.  While this internship is for ECB credit, I got to do and learn so many different things.  For example, I have learned about managing a small business, dealing with custumers, photographing food, managing a commercial kitchen, and even I have learned a few new recipes.  Fun, isn’t it!  Anywho, I will leave you with a couple more food photos I took.

Sorry that I didn’t blog last week readers, 

I will blog a bunch this week to make up for it.

Today is exciting.  I sent out an email to the Amazing Edibles clients about 3 hours ago, and we already have one order.  I drafted a quick reminder type email to all the clients letting them know that the company is here and ready to cater your next party.  (that was the basic jist of it)  We also recieved an email back saying that the email was very well put together and easy to read and use.  SO, all in all the email was a success, AND I JUST SENT IT A FEW HOURS AGO!  If you cannot tell I am pretty excited.  I will post some more photos soon.  Oh and I will also take some of myself.

Hello again readers,

Just wanted to post a quick update.  Since my last post, things at the internship have gotten even better.  I have been taking lots of photographs of the food that Andrea and her staff have been cooking.  I went to two different events that Amazing Edibles has catered, I have gotten a lot of great shots of food and people mingling at the event.  Any way, here are a couple of photos from those events, oh and also a photo of my workspace/ desk area.

Well, today is Wednesday and the first couple of days have gone great!  Well, first off I am working for a company in Chicago called Amazing Edibles.  They are a corporate and large scale catering company.  I have a couple different responsibilities.  My main goal for the internship is to help this company with their marketing for the month of February.  I am creating an email template that will be sent out to clients, as well as creating a direct mailer.  I have always enjoyed graphic design and I am excited about completing those projects. 

The first day the President of the Amazing Edibles(which from now on I will abreviate AE) had me help out in the kitchen as well as go on two deliveries just to see what their business is about.  I thought it was really fun as well as it helped me to realize what the company really does. 

As part of creating the direct mailers and the customer emails, I am responsible for taking the photographs of the food that is being cooked here at AE.  Which for those of you who don’t know me I am  aspiring to be a photographer.  So, I am very excited to be doing something I love, while learning new things about owning a business, as well as completing some marketing projects.
