Pablo Sitjar discusses the financial crisis impact in Uruguay with the International Economics course.

Pablo Sitjar

On December 3, 2009, Pablo Sitjar spent a day on campus, presenting to two economics classes and holding a meeting with students interested in an internship in Uruguay at his firm, RenMax.  In the morning, Professor Todd Knoop hosted Sitjar in his ECB 225: Money and Banking course.  In the afternoon, Professor A'amer Farooqi included a presentation entitled "Financial Crisis Impact on Uruguay" by Sitjar in his ECB 323: International Economics Seminar course.

Mr. Sitjar is also a teacher of finance at the graduate school level of the Universidad de Montevideo and is a frequent contributor to Portafolio, the leading business magazine in Uruguay. He has also spoken at seminars on risk analysis and financial institutions. Mr. Sitjar received his BA at the Universidad de la Republica, Montevideo, in Public Accounting. He also participated in an International Exchange Program at the London Business School and then proceeded to earn his MBA at MIT, Cambridge.
