Karen Mercer

Karen Mercer, Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer at Cornell College, was once again a Distinguished Visitor in Professor Santhi Hejeebu's ECB :Managerial Economics course. Mercer talked about her previous experience in the business world as Vice President and Treasurer of Imperial Sugar Company. Her discussion involved her career path, as well as details of managing the day-to-day business at Imperial. Students asked about her general philosophy and about specific instances where her decision-making skills were utilized.

Mercer holds both a BBA and MBA from Texas Christian University's M.J. Neeley School of Business. She has previously held the position of Vice President of Business & Administrative Services at Graceland University in Lemoni, Iowa.
