Rogers Fellow in Environmental Studies

Aims of the Fellowship

We are  exploring how dissolved organic matter/carbon content of coastal blackwater streams are affected by various land uses (though it is not applicable to high order rivers because they have diverse sources). The main activities involve taking online GIS modules, going on fields to take stream flow measurements, YSI measurements and water samples, working in the lab preparing and analyzing my samples, doing statistical analysis and hopefully coming up with interpretations, and writing about my results. I am planning to submit my abstract for the GSA meeting that will be held in Vancouver.
