Rams finish 0-3 during season-opening weekend

Ram review - Cornell ran into stiff competition as it opened the 2009 season with three dual defeats over the weekend.
The Rams (0-6 overall, 0-1 Iowa Conference) dropped a 6-3 decision to St. Ambrose Friday in Moline, Ill. Cornell then was shut out in a double-dual against Coe (9-0) and Augustana (9-0) Saturday in Cedar Rapids.
Senior Courtland Olson (Afton, Minn./Woodbury) and junior Ryan Walden (Edina, Minn./Edina) both picked up a pair of wins in the St. Ambrose meet. Olson battled for a three-set victory (6-3, 2-6, 10-6) at No. 5 singles. Walden won in straight sets (6-4, 6-4) at No. 6 singles. The duo also scored an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles against the Fighting Bees.
