Rams finish 1-3 on Spring Break trip

Ram review - Cornell finished 1-3 in dual play during its Spring Break trip March 27-28 in Meridian, Miss. The Rams had two scheduled duals cancelled due to rain on March 31 in Mobile, Ala.
The Rams (6-16) split a pair of matches on the first day of the trip. Cornell fell 9-0 to host Meridian Community College, but came back to post a 9-0 shutout over East Central Community College. The Rams continued play on March 28, dropping a 9-0 decision to Millsaps College and then concluding with a 6-3 loss to Marion Millitary Institute.
Freshman Neal Klauer (Fridley, Minn./Fridley) paced the Rams with four victories over the two days. He finished 2-2 at No. 3 singles, including a 6-3, 2-6, 10-7 win against Marion Millitary Institute. Klauer also picked up a pair of wins at No. 2 doubles, earning a victory with senior Courtland Olson (Afton, Minn./Woodbury) and junior Brandon Wolff (Keokuk/Keokuk).
Cornell freshman Kris Andresen (Katy, Texas/Taylor) went 2-2 at No. 1 singles, posting straight-set wins over Marion Millitary Institute and East Central.
Team leaders - Ryan Walden (Edina, Minn./Edina) leads the Rams this season with a 9-8 singles mark, playing at the No. 5 and 6 positions. Klauer and Wolff each have seven singles wins. Wolff leads the team in doubles victories with a 10-11 record.
