DickersonJim Dickerson, Head Coach

Dickerson has coached the Cornell women since the fall of 1995 and the men since the spring of 1997. Dickerson graduated from Iowa City High School in 1962 and from the University of Iowa in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in general studies with an emphasis on physical education and business management. For 23 years he was in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1991 as a sergeant major. He is a Professional Golfer's Association of America teaching professional at Finkbine Course in Iowa City. He has worked at Finkbine as an assistant golf professional and teaching professional since 1991. He became a Class A member of the PGA of America in 1995. Among Dickerson's athletes, seven have made the All-Conference team (six women, one man), 11 have been Academic All-Conference selections and one received the 1999 NCAA Division III MasterCard National Golf Foundation post-graduate scholarship. Three others have been named NGCA All-American Scholar and Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar.
