MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR DAVID LYON
Colleagues, friends, and family will gather March 25 at 1:30 p.m. in King Chapel to remember David Lyon, professor emeritus of biology. MUSICIANS GIVE MORE THAN CONCERTS
Senior music major Bridget Hilke, who would like to open a jazz nightclub someday, was invited to share the King Chapel stage with the Deanna Bogart Band at its February Music Mondays concert. Earlier in the school year, Chicago Brass Quintet offered private lessons to a few students prior to the ensemble’s concert. Hilke, who plays lead alto sax in Cornell’s Jazz Combo, says Bogart told her “if the club gig doesn’t work out, I can go on the road with her.” Music Mondays completed its eighth season this month.

HEARD ON CAMPUS
University of Oregon chemistry professor Geraldine Richmond said one of the most important undergraduate classes she took had little to do with her major, but the Sex and Politics course taught her a lot about feminism and the challenges she would face in a male-dominated profession. Richmond delivered the Donna Russell Fox (’48) Women in Science Lecture, a series launched in 2004 to bring to campus high-achieving women in science.

WRESTLERS SUCCEED ON MAT AND OFF

Cornell notched a school-record 15 dual victories in a season and finished the regular season ranked No. 19 in Division III. The team also ranks 19th in the nation with a 3.14 cumulative team GPA; senior John Ugaste earned Scholar All-American honors.

YOUNG ALUMNI: SHOW YOUR RAM PRIDE AND HELP CORNELL BEAT COE!
Coe is still leading Cornell in the Coe-Cornell Young Alumni Challenge.  The challenge is based on how many young alumni (class years 1996-2005) participate, not on the amount given.  The challenge ends in June, so there’s still time to help the Rams beat the Kohawks.  Donate today and GO RAMS!

CORNELLIANS ARE CONNECTING THROUGH COMMUNITY
Hundreds of Cornell graduates prior to 1988 have taken advantage of the new alumni online community. Classes of 1988-1996 will "launch" this month and the entire alumni base will be rolled in by the end of May. See our web page for the official launch schedule, site features and FAQs.
