2013 Admitted Student Travel Grant Program
Visiting campus is an important step in the college search process. In order to ease the expense associated with traveling to campus, Cornell College is pleased to offer an Admitted Student Travel Grant. This grant is available only to students attending one of our accepted student days:
Scholarship Recognition Day; Sunday, March 24th, 2013 (Special event for those students awarded scholarship)
Experience Cornell Day; Sunday, April 7th, 2013
Online registration for these events is available at cornellcollege.edu/srday and cornellcollege.edu/ecday.
Travel grant amounts are determined based on the student's primary address:
$50: - Families traveling from the following counties in Iowa: Benton, Black Hawk, Buchanan, Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones, Johnson, Iowa, Keokuk, Louisa, Tama, Linn, Muscatine, Poweshiek, Scott, Washington.
$250: - Families traveling from any county in Iowa not listed above, or in the following contiguous states: Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin.
$500: - Families traveling from any other State (or outside the U.S.).
The Fine Print
- The travel grant is received only by students who have been admitted to Cornell College.
- The travel grant is offered only to students who choose to enroll.
- Students are eligible to receive the travel grant only once. A student attending both events will not receive two grants.
- The Travel Grant amount will be added to each attendee's financial aid package and will be dispersed for the Fall Term 2013 for students who enroll.
