Theatre Audition Information
ACTING
AUDITION - Perform two contrasting monologues
- Acceptable contrasting monologues are
- Contemporary vx. Classical
- Comedic vx. Dramatic
- Each monologue must not exceed 1 1/2 minutes
- During the scheduled audition the student will also have the opportunity to meet with the Theatre professor and discuss the program, talk about various interests in theatre, and share any thoughts, concerns, or questions
- There is no musical or singing portion to the audition
- If the student is unable to audition in person, video submissions are accepted (see below)
In addition to the letter of recommendation, please e-mail a headshot photo to Joey Crowley or send one via post to the address listed below.
THEATRE TECH / DESIGN
- Rather than an audition, the student will be interviewed
- If the student has photos or a portfolio of work, the Theatre Department would like to see them
DIRECTORS / WRITERS
- Rather than an audition, the student will be interviewed
- If the student has research or preparation materials, the Theatre Department would like to see them
- Writers should provide a sample of their writing
If a student is not able to come to campus to audition or interview, work may be submitted via DVD/CD. Submissions should be sent to:
