About me: I’m a 2006 Cornell graduate with a double major in politics and theatre. In my four years on the Hilltop I did a lot! From helping run KRNL, the campus radio station, to serving on the Student Senate, and chairing various student organizations. I also took advantage of Cornell’s amazing off-campus study opportunities, spending a semester in Washington, D.C., interning for a political campaign in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids for a block, and taking a politics course in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in upper Minnesota. As the Chicago Regional Representative I’m back home in the Chicagoland area to work with students and families in Chicago and the suburbs.
One place I recommend students visit on campus: The Center for Teaching and Learning in Cole Library. Sometimes classes can be really challenging (otherwise you’d get bored!), but Cornell provides the tools you need to succeed; get help starting or revising a paper at the Writing Studio, add some pizzazz to a presentation at the Academic Technology Studio, or chat with a Quantitative Reasoning Consultant about a math project. There are always great people ready and willing to assist you in any subject!
What I can do for you: I hope I can serve as a resource for you during your college search process. Please feel free to call, e-mail, text, or meet me in person with any questions! As the Chicago Representative I am always available for students and families in the area who want to learn more about Cornell College. As a recent graduate, I can share my experiences as a student, and help you decide if Cornell is the right choice for you.
