About Me:  Hailing from Joliet, Illinois, I stepped onto the hilltop excited (and a little nervous) in 2003 as a freshman.  Four amazing experience-filled years later, I graduated from Cornell in 2007 with a double-major in Psychology and Communications and a minor in Studio Art.  During my time at Cornell College, I studied abroad in Italy for a block, was a resident assistant, a student-alumni ambassador with CASA, joined up with the student government to hone my “secretarial” skills (…and to fill my civic duty, of course!), while remaining highly involved with the Slick Shoes ballroom dancing group and the campus radio station – KRNL 89.7!  Busy?  A little.  What I remember most from my time at Cornell, though, are the memories made with so many great individuals belonging to such a supportive and friendly community!

Currently, I live back in Mt. Vernon, where I am happy to enjoy a coffee visit at Fuel with friends whenever possible or a long bike ride on a great day.  I also enjoy talking about my siblings every chance I get, playing badminton, and photography.

One place I recommend students visit on campus:   It doesn’t take long to find a friend or ten sitting around in the Commons if you’re looking for some social interaction or a place to hang out in between classes or meetings, so check that out!  However, another great place to visit is the Career Services office in Ebersole.  The counselors there are SO great at getting to know the students that visit, and even better at helping them find internships, help assess what careers might be great for them, and aiding in the grad school or job search.  It’s definitely a great place to start for so many adventures!

Other things you should know about Cornell:   By the time graduation rolls around, you may be on a first-name basis with half the professors and college administration.  Now, don’t be alarmed; that’s not strange… that’s unique!  It’s also just part of how great the community works together in its initiatives to grow and create an atmosphere for so many people to thrive.

What I can do for you:  I am here to help you find the right fit for you after high school by listening, finding out more about what you are looking for in your college search, and answering any questions you might have throughout the process.  Having my own personal experience with Cornell College and knowledge about what we have to offer, we can work together to find out if you and Cornell make a great match for success!  This can be an exciting time for you!  I look forward to working with each and every student, so please feel free to contact me at anytime.  Best of luck to you in your search!
