About me: I attended Carleton College in Minnesota, where I graduated in 2004 with my bachelor’s degree in psychology, and graduated in 2007 from the University of Michigan with a master’s degree in social work and counseling. I have been working in higher education since my graduation. In my spare time I enjoy reading, home improvement projects, and coming up with excuses to get out of going for a run.
One place I recommend students visit on campus: I actually have two to recommend. You absolutely have to visit a classroom (with a class in session, of course) while at Cornell to understand exactly how fantastic our academics are, and to see exactly what it will be like to be a student in our academic environment. Second, visit the Thomas Commons, a residence hall, the dining hall, or anywhere else our students are, so that you get a sense of how you will fit in on campus. Cornell is going to be your home for four years, you have to make sure it is a place you will feel comfortable!
What I can do for you: Finding a college can be an overwhelming experience! I am here to help you find the best fit for you, and to help you make the transition from high school student to college undergraduate. Please don’t hesitate to call, email, text, Skype chat, or contact me in any other way to schedule a visit, phone call, or to ask me all of your college questions!
