Academic Performance Tutorial (INT 502)
This is a study-skills course offered every year across blocks 2,3 and 4.
In 2014-2015 the course will meet Mondays 3:15 - 4:30 p.m. as a class. The course will also involve one hour of individual meetings per week with the instructor to work on personal study skill goals.
A student earns .25 credit without a grade for successfully completing this 12-week course. The course involves approximately 3 hours of time each week for class attendance, reading, and homework. Topics covered include: time management, how to take notes from textbook and in lectures, how to evaluate and improve motivation, how to increase self-control and willpower,etc.
Please see the Coordinator for Academic Support and Advising to register for the course before September 28th, 2014. It will start September 29th, 2014.
If you are interested in the course but cannot attend class on Monday afternoons, please notify the Coordinator in case they open another section of the course.
Students receiving an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher probably do not need this course.
