Services for Students with Disabilities
The Office for Academic Support and Advising maintains the files for all students with disabilities. You will find much more information in the Cornell College section on Disabilities Services website.
The most important thing for you as a student is to know the following things:
- Turn in your recent (ideally within 3 years, but we can take older in certain circumstances) documentation for the disability to the Coordinator for Academic Support and Advising (CASA).
- Meet with the CASA during orientation, if possible, or your first block to make a plan for your time at Cornell and to discuss what accommodations you might be eligible to receive.
- Inform your instructor EACH block during the first three days if you will need an accommodation. If you are not sure if you will need it, still inform the instructor.
- If you find yourself struggling academically, do not wait, seek help right away....go see the CASA.
