Discover Cornell

You’ll never find a place quite like Cornell College. One of 40 colleges in “Colleges That Change Lives,” the academic immersion of Cornell’s One Course At A Time curriculum allows students to focus on a single academic subject at a time. With a student body from 45 states and 18 foreign countries, and renowned faculty, speakers, and entertainers, Cornell offers the world from its hilltop campus.

One Course

Immerse Yourself

You take one course each 3 ½-week block. When you take a science class, you are a scientist and you spend quality time in the lab, conducting original research with your professor. In the next class, you might be an artist, who has the luxury to ignore the clock and listen solely to your muse.

Find Community

Know Yourself

When you become part of our community, you will realize that relationships are everything. They’re at the center of how Cornell professors teach and mentor—through discussions, not lectures. And no textbook can teach you as much as the experience of living in a community with students from all different backgrounds.

Learn Without Boundaries

    Be Yourself

Liberated from the lecture format, faculty can take entire classes off-campus for a day or an entire block—in whatever venues best suit the subject of the class. And Cornell College’s location and One Course calendar make it easy to schedule full-time, month-long internships.

    Finish Strong

    Prepare Yourself

How can you prepare for a career that doesn’t exist yet? Or a career that changes in response to economy, technology, or world affairs? With a liberal arts focus, you will learn how to think critically, communicate, and respond to situations with confidence.
